A favorite Lancaster quilt design with brown (with slight purple cast) printed cotton fabrics. The background fabric is solid light tan cotton fabric. Note the care taken with the piecework and quilting by the Lancaster Amish woman who made it. This quilt is symmetric and may be used sideways on a king size bed.
A single sheet of traditional soft cream white cotton muslin covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is adequate, averaging about 60 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is good with about 5 stitches per inch.
