Border and pillow fold are black, corners are Burgundy and sash is forest green. Quilted squares in center of quilt are dark purple (called Midnight).

Blue and Cream Framed Ohio Star Quilting Bee Quilt(hs5881)

An Amish family in northeast Indiana as a business provides Amish style dinners to groups of tourists visiting the area. After the meal the tourists are invited to gather around a quilt and with the help and supervision of four Amish women do a little quilting. This quilt is one of the quilts that was quilted at these dinners. The border quilting was mostly done by the tourists who signed their names next to the portion they quilted (in Quilting bee style). The center of the quilt was quilted by an Amish quilter. Very attractive distinctive quilt at a bargain price!!

Terrific! A great combination of the Center Diamond and the Sunshine and Shadow designs. Wonderful traditional coloring. The fill surrounding the diamond is blue (with lots of quilting). The sash is forest green, and the border Navy. The corner squares are Burgundy red. Made in Lancaster by an Amish woman who has subtlety included her initials in the quilting.
