The background fabric is fine solid cream white cotton fabric and the blue and green fabric are Batik style cotton prints. cream print. The quilt top was made by the young local Mennonite quilt designer Connie Lapp and was nicely quilted by her mother.

A subdued rendition of Fractured Rhapsody design by C Jean Horst with a wonderful collection of fabrics. Has the look of organ pipes in a cathedral. Doing the piecework on a Bargello quilt is difficult with all the different size pieces, but the quilt maker who made this one, did very well. Beautiful and exceptionally complex. Signed and dated by C Jean Horst. "Fractured Rhapsody" is the pattern designed by Marge Edie and found in her book, "Bargello Quilts", published by That Patchwork Place (Martingale and Company) in 1994.
