The Center Diamond is one of the oldest Amish quilt designs. This quilt with its black border, Burgundy-red diamond, blue fill, and green sash uses the classic Amish color scheme. Thin batting and abundant quilting give it both the look and feel of an antique quilt. Made in a local Amish home by an Amish woman who incorporated her initials in the quilting in the lower left corner of the quilt.
The back of the quilt is covered with solid Navy blue cotton fabric. The quilting density is very good, averaging about 140 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is excellent with 9 to 10 stitches per inch.A high quality quilt.
