Bold rendition of classic applique design, but without the embroidered Bible verse ( I am the rose of sharon, the lily of the valley). Very rich deeply colored fabrics. Excellent applique work and careful embroidery. Be sure to note the quality of the quilting. Made here in Lancaster by an Amish woman.
A single sheet of a fine white on cream cotton print covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is good, averaging about 110 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is very good with about 7 to 8 stitches per inch.A high quality quilt.

Dark Rose and Green Poppy Fields Quilt(hs3625)

Gorgeous original design by C Jean Horst. Note how Jean has captured not only the shape of the poppy flowers, but the stems and leaves as well!
