Amish Paper Bag Double Nine Patch Quilt

A bright version of this very traditional classic quilt design. Amish colors, all cotton, nine-patch in nine-patch block, and an abundance of interesting quilting coupled with excellent piecework and fine stitching -- Wow! Made by an Lancaster County Amish women. Border and pillow fold are Navy, border and sash corners are Burgundy, quilted squares in center of quilt are 'paper bag' (tan) and sash is dark green. Note pillow fold at top of quilt.

The back of the quilt is covered with solid Navy cotton fabric. The quilting density is good, averaging about 120 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is good with 6 to 7 stitches per inch.A high quality quilt.
