Wow! A lovely Mariners Compass with fabrics selected by quilt designer Dolores Yoder. Dolores made the top and an Amish woman here in Lancaster did the fantastic quilting. Note the exceptionally striking border treatment. This design demands and this quilt delivers very precise and sharp piecing. Look closely at the amazing printed fabrics! Dolores signed here name and the year (2006) in embroidery on the front of the quilt near one of the corners.
The back of the quilt is covered with cream white cotton muslin. The quilting density is good, averaging about 120 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is truly outstanding with about 9 stitches per inch.A high quality quilt.
