Rose and Green Heart of Roses Quilt

A lovely quilt made by an Amish woman here in Lancaster who used C. Jean Horst's pattern (Pattern is available in a book authored by C Jean Horst called The Heart of Roses Quilt ISBN: 1561481068). Note the fine quilting, wonderful fabric selections and the appliqué border treatment.

A single sheet of fine solid cream white cotton fabric covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is good, averaging about 110 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is very good with about 8 stitches per inch.A high quality quilt.
