A terrific anniversary or birthday gift
Sterling! This large star gave the quilt's designer space to use a big palette of colorful fabrics. With its small patchwork pieces and seventeen different fabrics, this quilt is about as 'good as it gets'. The piecework is very precise, and appliqué work on the pillow fold is outstanding. The quilt-work surrounding the star is very nice indeed. Signed and dated by its maker.
A single sheet of soft cream white cotton muslin covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is good, averaging about 120 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is very good with about 8 stitches per inch.A high quality quilt.
