Wow! A lovely Mariner Compass with fabrics selected by quilt designer Dolores Yoder. Dolores made the top and an Amish friend did the fine quilting. Note the exceptionally striking border treatment. and the outstanding print surround the compass This design demands and this quilt delivers very precise and sharp piecing. Dolores signed her name and the year (2008) in embroidery on the front of the quilt near one of the corners.
The back of the quilt is covered with traditional soft cream white cotton muslin. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is very good with about 8 stitches per inch.A high quality quilt.
