Brilliant variation on a compass star with fabrics selected by quilt designer Dolores Yoder. Very attractive fabric selections and excellent piecing -- note the special sash and interesting quilting . Part of a collection of Royal Stars of the States quilts designed by Eula Mae Long. Dolores made the top and an Amish friend did the quilting. This quilt is symmetric and may be used sideways on a king size bed.

The back of the quilt is covered with soft cream white cotton muslin. The quilting density is very good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is good with about 7 stitches per inch. A high quality quilt.
