Another gorgeous original quilt pattern by C Jean Horst using fabrics with a wonderful variety of subdued cotton prints. Note the excellent appliqué work and the fine quilting. Signed in embroidery and dated by its designer. This design was formerly called Victorian Basket. Made by an Amish woman here in Lancaster. Copyright pattern -- directions unavailable.
A single sheet of a fine cream white cotton fabric covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is very good with about 8 stitches per inch. A high quality quilt.
