Razor sharp! Terrific fabrics in shades of blue (from almost pastel to navy) and shades of brick red. Look at the blocks that are filled with expanses of excellent quilting. Also note the unusual "saw-tooth" border. Well constructed as well as well designed. This quilt is symmetrical and may be used sideways on a king size bed.
The back of this quilt is covered with white fabric. The quilting pattern is interesting with both the broken star and the all-quilted squares (with their star surrounded by a circular leaf motif) showing. The stitching is good about 7 uniform stitches per inch as is the quilting density with about 150 linear inches of quilting per square foot. A high quality quilt.

Stellar variation on a compass star with fabrics selected by quilt designer Dolores Yoder. Very attractive fabric selections and excellent piecing -- note the special sash and abundant quilting . Part of a collection of Royal Stars of the States quilts designed by Eula Mae Long. Delores made the top and an Amish friend did the quilting.
