• A popular classic design using two blocks in alternation - the log cabin block and the star block. The Batik style hand painted fabrics are selected by C Jean Horst, Lancaster's renowned quilt designer. Even more beautiful than the photographs! Signed by C Jean Horst. Very well hand quilted by an Amish friend. This would also make an amazing and interesting wall hanging!

  • Imagine using batiks! A fresh but traditional pattern done with a new look. Soft blues, tans and gold tones make this classic Tumbling Blocks a winner. Another wonderful creation of C Jean Horst. Excellent patchwork piecing and lots of fine quilting. Made by Lancaster County Amish woman. This quilt is symmetric with all borders equal and may be used sideways on a king size bed. Notice it's 3 dimensional appearance. Fun quilt pattern.
  • The Storm at Sea vividly depicts the rolling waves of a stormy sea. Surprisingly, the illusion of waves is created by a few geometric shapes - squares, triangles, rectangles and diamonds. Here, C Jean Horst changed the color pallet to emphasize different elements within the design which resulted in twinkling and stunning stars and wavy lines, creating a new look for an old design. This in an interesting old scriptural-based pattern taken from Mark 4:37-39 NIV where Jesus calms the Storm when he said "Quiet! Be still!" and the wind died down and it was completely calm. Lovely heirloom with comforting history of the pattern.
  • A bold, striking, sharp Quilt. Very attractive fabric selections coloring. Note the careful piecing and fine quilting. The quilt featured and quilt available have a few small changes. The border is a tone on tone fabric with a designed quilt pattern.Made in Lancaster by a Mennonite woman, quilting by a Amish woman in her home.
  • A breathtaking quilt inspired by nature! Gorgeous colors of a crisp, Autumn day in North America. 8 geese, so realistic you can almost hear them calling to each other, take flight in the clear blue sky among pieced triangles traditionally called "flying geese." What a clever design! Very well pieced and hand quilted by an Amish woman in her Lancaster County, Pennsylvania home.
