A tour de force of patchwork piecing! Note the small size of the patchwork squares (less than one inch square!) and also note that the antique white fill is even pieced with strips of fabric less than one inch wide. And then there is the stunning fabric with sun, moon and stars! All in all, a great quilt made by a Lancaster Amish woman. This quilt is symmetric and may be used sideways on a knigsize bed.
A single sheet of solid white cotton fabric covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is more than adequate, averaging about 75 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is good with about 6 stitches per inch. A high quality quilt.
