The quilt is a beautiful combination of two favorite patterns from the past, Lone Star and Log Cabin. In the past these quilts were used just for warmth, but now they are valued for the beauty of individual choices of color and design. The fabrics are lovely shades of blue, tan and burgundy and the floral designs are rich and beautiful. Note the careful piecing and nice quilting. Made in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania by a Mennonite woman and hand quilted by a Amish woman
The back of the quilt is covered with a soft tan cotton fabric. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is very good with about 7 stitches per inch. Fabric placement may vary slightly on star from picture Swatches available of fabric used. A high quality quilt.
