This beautiful Double Wedding Ring quilt symbolizes a never ending bond between a bride and a groom. Historically, this quilt pattern was a favorite wedding gift for young brides and has been extremely popular since the 1920's. Subtle and sophisticated with lots of history! Note the interesting collection of 100% cotton lovely neutrals selected for this quilt as well as the perfectly round and intercepting rings so well sewn. Well quilted by Amish woman. Signed and dated by its creator, C Jean Horst of Lancaster.
The backing is especially nicely done in the light neutral tone on tone subtle floral backing - again 100 % quality cotton. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is amazing with about 8 hand quilted stitches per inch. The documentation tag in sewn on the lower back corner that notes the name of the quilt, the Amish quilter's name, origin, and the date along with a made in USA documentation. Beautiful! This quilt pattern design is also available as any special order with colors of your choice if you prefer! You can be the color designer if you would like and I'll follow your ideas. We generally need several months from start to completion of a special order quilt. A high quality quilt.
