This traditional pattern is steeped in history, named after General John Burgoyne. It has been popular since the 19th century. This large queen-size can also be used as a King-size if turned sideways. Beautifully marbled white and beige background with a striking marbled red and very heavily quilted with 8 even stitches per inch. Dolores pieced the top and an Amish friend did the quilting. A masterpiece! The back is covered with a soft-white 100% cotton muslin. Signed and dated in embroidery by Dolores.
A high quality quilt.
