Beautiful and interesting! This quilt is sized to turn across a king bed and still have a really good drop on both sides and fit flat at the pillow end. On a queen bed, it would be turned longways and have a good pillow tuck as show on the photos. Blues, neutrals and brown tones make this classic/vintage look Tumbling Blocks a winner. Another wonderful creation of C Jean Horst. Excellent patchwork piecing and lots of fine quilting. Made by Lancaster County Amish woman and has a corner tag on the backing that documents the makers and the 100% cotton fabric content as well as the origin and made in America.
A 100% cotton backing (shown in one photo) is tan leaf print to blend with the top side of the quilt. The quilting density is good, averaging about 125 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is excellent with about 8 stitches per inch. The corner tag on the back of the quilt has documentation of the name of the pattern, the origin, date and the maker as well as made in America. A quaint look and traditional pattern made for today's bedroom. And a nice economical quilt too! A high quality quilt.
