What a traditional, cozy quilt! Prints and cocalico fabrics from years gone by...the quilter's mother's stash!! Very well pieced and hand quilted. LOTS of 2" squares. Made by an Amish woman in her Lancaster County, Pennsylvania home who signed and dated the back corner of the quilt. This type of quilt never goes out of style! Symmetrical so can also be used on a king size bed.
A single sheet of a cream colored solid cotton covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is good, averaging about 130 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is excellent with 8 to 9 stitches per inch. The maker of the quilt signed her initials and the date on the back of the quilt. A high quality quilt. A high quality quilt.
